Week 6
This week I received this tile which combines tangles from several weeks…which I love!
Keep the tiles coming in! I haven’t had as much tangling time with the advent of school so it is really nice to see what others are doing. In the coming long weekend, I am hoping for some definite space in my schedule…
I learned this tangle—Fassett— by Lynn Mead by participating in ‘The Diva Challenge’. The first Monday of the month generally focuses on a tangle that is not one of the Zentangle-original tangles. Fassett is a tangle that is fairly simple to create, but looks like it would be complicated when it is finished. I always find the shift from flat to dimensional to be magical.
It can be done with triangles, which is what I typically do, or squares.
The number of ‘layers’ can also be shifted. For variations and more information please look at tanglepatterns.com
As with the other weeks, use this by itself (monotangle) or create a string and tangle away!
You should now have a number of tangles with which you are familiar:
Crescent Moon, Hollibaugh, Printemps, and Bales from the Introductory Class
and Patena, ‘Nzeppel, Pepper, W2, Raddox, and Msst from the weekly posts here.
If you know others, don’t hesitate to use them as you work through these opportunities!
Remember to email me a picture of your creation from this week or an earlier week at turningtruestudios@gmail.com so a virtual mosaic can be posted for all to enjoy!
