Well…30 inches is a lot of snow. And, it means lots of time at home. Yesterday was an inside day and I pulled out the Spirograph from 30 years ago and combined tangles and loops.

Today, after much shoveling, I found a stick and made a few snow tangles. Snow, like its warmer cousin, sand, is challenging to tangle in as each stroke leaves a wake. On this day, though, it was magical to be out under the sapphire skies, in the sunshine, with a stick, and the silence that this much snow brings–for a few moments of joining the creative beauty of nature with my own.
